How to convert USD to EUR
To convert US Dollars to Euros, multiply the amount by the current exchange rate. On 11 August 2026 that rate is 0.866602, so:
EUR = USD × 0.866602
Going the other way, divide instead of multiply — or multiply by 1.1539, which is the same thing: one Euro buys 1.1539 US Dollars.

About the US Dollar and the Euro
The US Dollar (USD, symbol $) is the currency of the United States. The Euro (EUR, symbol €) is the currency of the eurozone.
The two are quoted against each other constantly, so the rate moves throughout the trading day. The figures here are mid-market reference rates pulled from a public daily feed; they are the rate you will see quoted in the news, not the rate a retail exchange will hand you over the counter.
Worked USD to EUR examples
A price tag. Something marked $50 comes to 43.3301 EUR. Round to 43 EUR for a quick mental check while you are standing in the shop.
A monthly salary. $3,000 a month is 2599.81 EUR — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
Going the other way. If you are holding €1,000 and want to know what it buys in US Dollars, that is 1153.93 USD. The converter handles both directions — use the swap button between the two fields.
Watch the margin. At a bureau charging 3%, your $500 would fetch roughly 420.3 EUR instead of 433.3 EUR. That gap is what the mid-market rate on this page lets you spot.
